Friday Flashback - Cheaters Edition

I'm calling this, the cheaters edition, because I have been trying to get this post up all week. I am flashing back, to Goosie Girls, fourth birthday party. Just think, it's a short walk, all the way to last weekend.

Goose, really wanted to have her birthday, at Chuck E Cheese, this year. I really had visions, of an at home, Pretty in Pink, Princess Party. My little girl, really wanted, pizza with the mouse. Dad thought it was a good idea, and the mouse it was.

We tried to keep it sort of small this year. Small, for our family, is still quite big. Either way, a good time was had by all, especially the birthday girl.

Due to my little guys allergies, our cakes, have to be made at home. I struggle with decorating, and only wish we could have a store bought cake. Either way, the birthday girl wanted a tiara cake. Her wish was my command.

I took this photo, before I finished the top, you know, the part with her real name on it.

Even though, it is not as pretty as a store bought cake, it sure was yummy. Goose thought her cake was the best ever, and my son was safe to eat it. I have lots of room for improvement, but at least my kids are happy and safe.

Another birthday, come and gone, how quickly the years past. Wonder what she will want next year.

Even though, it was not a long walk back, thanks for joining me, on memory lane today.

  3. She is too adorable. I prefer at home parties too when they're young. You did great with the cake! It looks very yummy. Buying cakes are much easier, but making them at home means more to them. And for your precious son, it's a lot safer. Great pictures!

  16. Are you kidding, the cake looks beautiful???

I'm sure your daughter loved it, and your son could enjoy it too.

Looks like you've got your Martha Stewart decoration skills down.

My nemesis is the pastry bag for fancy frosting--I'm getting better at it though.

    Great job! :)
